CHL Classes
To obtain a permit to carry concealed handguns in the state of Texas requires a 10 hour Texas CHL course which trains on, gun and child safety, and Texas laws regarding use of force and licensing requirements.
To speed up the application process, complete your online application, print all the documents, and bring them in when you come for your class. Apply online at http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/chl/index.htm
CHL classes are every Saturday at 8:00am, walk-ins welcome. Class ends at 12:00pm for renewals, and 6:00pm for new applicants. Show up with a valid TDL/ID, your weapon, and ammo (you can purchase ammo here). Renewals need 50 rounds, new applicants need 100-150 rounds.
