Michael Henss

Founder and Owner of Paramount Firearms Training:
Michael Henss is a retired combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a U.S. Army Special Forces Detachment Weapons and Tactics Specialist “Green Beret”, seasoned in instruction and training of U.S. and multi-national personnel. He has extensive skill in developing and executing specialized weapons and tactics training for Special Forces A-teams, as well as providing small unit tactics and close quarter battle instructions to U.S. and Iraqi security forces. He is an experienced and knowledgeable Special Forces leader with extensive background in development, organization and execution of Antiterrorism and Force Protections Plans. He has conducted physical security vulnerability assessments of numerous government and high risk facilities, as well as implemented counter-measures to mitigate threats to U.S. interests. Michael also enjoys competing in firearms competitions and is a member of the USPSA. His is also an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor and a life member of the NRA. Michael is happy to be joining the Thunder Gun Range core of instructors to bring you his unique training philosophy. Between his extensive military career and civilian training, Michael has developed a training methodology that can be applied in multiple defensive applications. Michael also trains in many different competitive arenas, including USPSA and 3-Gun competitions. He can be seen competing at many local, state and national level matches. |
